New Ubisoft DRM
Told you those boys write code like the Devil (FightBigBrother - About Securom)
Securom, that word alone bring back a lot of nightmares to some gamers (especially the one playing pirated version of the games *grin* ). Well guys, say hello to the newest ubisoft DRM, this one is a nightmare-for real. With the new DRM, gamers (yes you!) would need to connect to the net while playing. So if u’re one of the few people (duh!) surfing the net using dial up connection with occasional connection drop, the new DRM gonna kick you out of the game when the connection dropped and then you’re gonna have to sneak through that guard again, destroy that u-boat again, or fight the boss again *facepalm*.
ps. some upcoming ubisoft games with the new DRM : settler 7, silent hunter V, assassins creed 2, prince of persia : forgotten sand and of course the splinter cell conviction (God help us all!)
pps. I wonder who’s next - EA? Codemaster? Bioware? *panic*
update : newest ubisoft DRM is already cracked. Some guys told me Skidrow did it. cracked! just one day after the release.
