RIAA Wins $8000 (from a very sick girl)

This is just great, just run into this news here. so what happens actually? the RIAA (Recording Industry of America ) files a lawsuit againts a 19 y/o girl who suffers from pancreatitis and severe depression, has mounting medical bills and whose mother brings in just $8.25 an hour. wait there are more of these good news, the RIAA wins! the girl wasn’t able to make it in to court to defend herself, and as such, the judge entered a default judgment against her for close to $8,000 (well apperaently she is very sick, have I told you that?)

luckily, a local attorney has offered to represent the girl pro-bono and ask a judge to re-open the case. thank God, we still have some sane people!
